Biometric fingerprint liveness detection
Jurek, Jakub ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This project deals with general biometrics issues focusing on fingerprint biometrics, with description of dermal papillae and principles of fingerprint sensors. Next this work deals with fingerprint liveness detection issues, including description of methods of detection. Next this work describes chosen features for own detection, used database of fingerprints and own algorithm for image pre-processing. Furthermore neural network classifier for liveness detection with chosen features is decribed followed by statistic evaluation of the chosen features and detection results as well as description of the created graphical user interface.
Software for visualization and processing of volumetric data
Viktorínová, Michaela ; Jakubíček, Roman (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The work summarizes the possibilities of volume data displaying. It deals with the scalar type of volume algorithms, which are then divided into techniques of indirect and direct rendering of volume data. From indirect techniques the Marching Cubes method is mentioned. Direct techniques are further divided into trivial and advanced algorithms. The practical part describes the design, implementation and evaluation of the functionality of implemented program that uses trivial methods. The overall evaluation consists of partial evaluations of the computational complexity, the memory load and the quality of final rendering while using different methods and types of input volume data.
Data processing for tomographic reconstruction
Dospiva, Jindřich ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Zikmund, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deal with data processing from x-ray tomographic system. The primary focus is put on the description of projection refining taking place before tomographic reconstruction. The particular method for data processing from system Nano3DX is also suggested. It uses open software ASTRA tomography toolbox, which enable executing of tomographic reconstruction on the graphics card in MATLAB environment. There is also used correction for sample movement, denoising algorithm in projections and calculation the centre of rotation. Results of proposed procedure are demonstrated on tomographic data from measured samples and compared with processing software from the manufacturer.
Cluster analysis in the field of pathological speech signal processing
Čapek, Karel ; Mžourek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Galáž, Zoltán (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of speech features that quantifies the degradation of speech production caused by the presence of certain speech pathology and the subsequent clasification of considered speech pathologies into several groups using the k-means algorithm. The purpose was to find the groups of pathologies that in spite of possible differences in the origin do affect phonation and articulation skills of the speakers and damage the quality of speech. The work uses the phonation of vowels "a" speech task as the most commonly used speech task in the field of pathological speech processing, because of its resistance to demographic and linguistic characteristics of the speakers. Furthermore, the preliminary analysis was applied to the featuresin order to select the features to best characterize the degradation of speech production. Finally, the selected features were used to find the resulting groups of pathologies using k-means algorithm.
Spatial-temporal analysis of HD-EEG data in pacients with nerodegenerative disease
Jordánek, Tomáš ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Lamoš, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with diagnostics of prodromal stage of Lewy body disease using microstate analysis. First part of the thesis includes theoretical background which is needed for understanding discussed topics and presented results. This part consists of description of the disease, diagnostic options, electroencephalography, pre-processing of the EEG record and the microstate analysis process. Theoretical background is followed by a practical part of the thesis. In the beginning, there is a chapter about a dataset, used EEG device, and own solution of the pre-processing. Microstate analysis is discussed next, its output parameters were compared between groups with statistical methods. Comparison of the subjects in prodromal stage of Lewy body disease and healthy controls brought significant differences in three parameters of microstates, in rate of unlabelled time frames and also for some counts of transitions between each map or unlabelled sections. Calculation of speech rate
Galáž, Zoltán ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
his semestral thesis deals with a design of system for calculating the rate of speech. The sys-tem consists of several block, such as signal pre-processing block and its segmentation into smaller parts, block of the feature calculation, block of the feature vector quantization and finally block calculating the actual rate. The first step is a change of the input speech signal into a form suitable for the feature extraction. In next step these features are assigned to the calculated centroids. The change of centroid means change of phonemes. The system will record the following boundaries of fonems contained in speech and calculates its rate.
